"Search for the awe in every day"
Inspired by a Rich Roll podcast with Caroline Paul, I started thinking about the idea of "awe walks" and how powerful it is to find wonder in the everyday. I chose the phrase “Search for the awe in every day” as a reminder—and now it lives as my Safari background.

Inspiration stuck when listening to a Rich Roll podcast epidode with author Caroline Paul.

The very episode!
In the episode, Caroline talks about a section of her book (Tough Broad) where individuals do 'awe walks'. I found it absolutely fascinating and completely captivating.
I wanted a visual reminder to search for awe.

The piece
I love this image. It's minimal, has beautiful tones and totally gives off Windows Vista vibes.
The two lines of text at the bottom of each corner phrase the question ever so slightly differently, and yet it gives a different meaning:
- "Search for the awe in every day" – This suggests looking for a specific sense of awe that exists in daily life. The use of "the awe" makes it feel like something definite and already present, waiting to be found.
- "Search for awe in the everyday" – This emphasises finding a general sense of awe in ordinary moments. Using "the everyday" (as two words) subtly shifts the meaning toward the idea of the mundane or routine, making it feel more poetic.
As you can see the one I prefer is "Search for the awe in every day" by my choice.
This now resides as my Safari background.
Remember, search for the awe in every day as a practice–happiness might just follow.
See you soon,
Will
